CanHelp Launched to Support Families of Fallen Heroes
The tragic deaths of Warrant Officer Patrice Vincent and Corporal Nathan Cirillo have shocked our entire nation. In order to provide support for the bereaved, the Ontario Credit Union Charitable Foundation (OCUFC) has launched CanHelp to help True Patriot Love Foundation (TPL) collect donations for the families of these two men.
Donations can be made through OCUCF’s secure online donation portal and will be accepted until November 12, 2014. Please select “Fallen Soldiers Campaign” as the fund designation. The OCUCF will issue tax receipts for any donations over $10. Do show your support for our heroes and make a donation to the ongoing efforts.
OCUCF will donate matching funds of up to $2,500 to True Patriot Love to support families of other fallen soldiers and veterans.
True Patriot Love Foundation is a national charity that honours the sacrifices of the Canadian Armed Forces, veterans and their families in both times of peace and conflict. TPL funds unique programs and innovative research in the areas of mental health, physical rehabilitation, family support and veteran transition. TPL is also committed to changing the conversation about our nation’s veterans, hosting an annual multinational symposium and organizing ambitious global expeditions. Since 2009, TPL has raised more than $18 million to support military charities across Canada.
