Heartbleed bug

TORONTO, ONTARIO – April 14, 2014 – On April 7, 2014, a major new software vulnerability called the “Heartbleed” bug was discovered. The bug is associated with certain versions of the Open SSL cryptographic software used to encrypt traffic on the internet and makes internet users susceptible to having their credit card information, passwords and user names stolen. Luminus Financial has completed an in-depth assessment of our data system and confirms that our members are not vulnerable to the Heartbleed bug. As a precautionary measure, we would recommend that all members change their password for online banking.
