2020 Board Nomination Bio

Jonathan is seeking re-election to the Board of Directors of Luminus Financial. He hopes to continue to participate in the leadership of the organization and to help members achieve their financial goals while seeing Luminus grow stably into the future.

He has served on the board for four years and currently serves as Corporate Secretary on the Executive Committee; and also serves on the Audit, HR & Compensation, and Mergers & Acquisition Committees. Ongoing education is a personal priority for Jonathon and essential to his success in this role. He met his assigned annual training curriculum every year; and also attended the most recent National Conference for Canadian Credit Unions, and participated in the Leadership Under-40 symposium put on by the CCUA.

He has a Bachelor of Commerce Degree in Global Business Management from Ryerson University. The focus of his studies was finance, accounting, marketing, operations, economics, strategic planning, and entrepreneurship - the foundations for executing any successful business.

Professionally, he is a Solution Consultant with Ricoh Canada, where he handles the portfolios of advanced business solutions called 'Enterprise Workflow' in the GTA.

Jonathan's work puts him at the forefront of digitally transformative technology projects of all types at Medium to Enterprise organizations. Whether his client is a non-profit, a union or corporate, and no matter what their organizational goals are, he finds the right mix of software and consulting/professional services to deliver exceptional business results and drive efficiency throughout the organization. He thrives on the complexity of having a new problem on his plate each day. He relishes the satisfaction that comes with finding the perfect solution unique to each business workflow problem he is tasked with solving.
