CU Succeed Bursary Applications Open April 30
Rewarding deserving students who give back!
ARE YOU A STUDENT? DO YOU KNOW ONE?Every year, over 30% of youth in Ontario choose not to pursue higher education because of financial barriers. The CU Succeed Youth Bursary was established in 2016 by the Ontario Credit Union Foundation (OCUF) to help support students in their efforts to pursue higher education in academic, technological, or vocational training. Over the past five years, in partnership with Ontario Credit Unions, the OCUF have awarded $361,000 to 258 students.
This spring, from April 30-June 30, applications will be open for students to receive bursaries of $1,000 - $3,000 with a total of $75,000 in bursaries available.
Luminus Financial is proud to be supporting the CU Succeed Youth Bursary with $1,000 in funding for the 2021/22 school year.
HOW IS THE BURSARY AWARDED?
The Foundation provides funding for the CU Succeed Youth Bursary program open to resident Ontario post-secondary students in need of financial assistance for academic, technological, or vocational training. The bursary will be awarded based primarily on two criteria – demonstrated financial need, and community involvement.
HOW DO STUDENTS APPLY?
Applications are open for students from April 30 – June 30 at ocuf.org/bursary. Further details on bursary qualification, selection, and the award process can be found on the program website.
