The fast, secure way to use your own money

Interac Flash is Canada’s first contactless debit solution. It allows you to pay for everyday purchases quickly, securely and conveniently by simply holding your Interac Flash-enabled bank card in front of the reader at checkout. You can use it at merchants across Canada – wherever you see the Interac Flash logo.

How does it work?

You're protected when you use InteracFlash

When you choose to pay with Interac Flash, you’re choosing one of the safest methods of payment available today. We’ve incorporated all the built-in protection of Interac Debit along with additional features to help keep your money safe. Also, Interac Flash has a single-transaction limit of $100, and a total-spend limit set by your financial institution, which requires a PIN verification to confirm you are the rightful cardholder. Learn more here.

Receive money directly into your Luminus account with Autodeposit

The Autodeposit feature allows members to send money directly to your account via Interac e-Transfers. There is no longer the hassle of setting up and remembering the answers to security questions. This allows users to still have the security of knowing who you’re sending the money to but in a more convenient fashion.

The set-up is easy as well!

  1. Log into our online banking portal, and go to your Interac e-Transfer settings.
  2. You’ll be able to register your e-mail address under the Autodepoit section, and then link to the account of your choosing. Any transfers sent to this email account will now be automatically deposited into your account.
  3. Finally, you’ll receive an email to confirm your Autodeposit registration. Go to your inbox and click on the “complete registration” link.

Request Money

Get paid easily with Request Money

With the Request Money feature, you can request the money that is owed to you. The recipient gets an immediate notification that you have requested a certain amount of money to be transferred. Once the request is accepted, the funds will automatically be deposited into your account.

How-to Guide

  1. Log in to our Luminus online banking portal through our website or our app and make your way to the Interac e-Transfer Request Money tab.
  2. Create a new contact or select a pre-existing contact and enter their e-mail address or mobile phone number in.
  3. Type in the amount of funds you want to be sent, as well as what account the funds will be deposited into.
  4. Once the recipient has clicked yes, the funds will automatically be transferred into your preferred account.
